CHRISTMAS TEA!!!

Each  year  Nancy Olson invites the Bread Company ladies to her home for a Christmas Tea!!!   This year's Christmas Tea took place on Tuesday, December 20.  

I took   pictures of just a few of her beautiful decorations ..

Coffee, Tea, a little Christmas Wine too of course .. Scones,   Brown Bread made from her Mother's recipe, a Fruit Compote and Chocolate Toffee Pretzel Brittle .. everything was delicious!!! 

Left side of table .. Sylvia, Pat standing, Anne Marie, Liz, Bev, Laverne, Nancy O at end of table.  Right side of table .. Judy, Jane, Sharon and Nancy B.  You will notice the young lady sitting next to Nancy O at the end of the table in the pic above is no longer in that spot .. her name is Sue and she very graciously agreed to take the group at the table pictures for me .. Thank You Sue!!! 

As we were  talking and laughing and enjoying all those delicious goodies what to our wondrous surprise did appear ... SANTA CLAUS .. right there in Nancy Olson's kitchen!!!! 

Nancy was just as  surprised as the rest of us  .. she did not know this was going to happen!!!  Or so she says .. LOL!!!  

Nancy asked  Santa "are you sure you are at the right house Santa"?   Santa replied "Is there a lady named Laverne here"?  To which several of us replied "Yes .. Laverne's here" .. so of course Santa replied "then I am at the right house"!!!! LOL!!!

 After a period of time with Nancy trying to get Santa to say who he was and who had sent him to her house .. Santa just chuckled and began reading from his Good and Bad list .. he called each name .. read a little bit about each person .. and then  marked their sheet Good or Bad .. (we all came out Good of course .. LOL!!!)  .. and then he came to the table and handed each of us our "Good" report  to take home!!!

As I posted my pics on this story page I just realized I did not get a picture of Jane or Sue on Santa's lap .. I am working on getting  those from someone else who was also taking pictures!!! 

Nancy sent me this picture she got of Sue on Santa's lap .. but she did not get a picture of Jane on his lap either!!!  Was Jane afraid to sit on Santa's lap???? 

Ahhhhhh .. Jane DID sit on Santa's lap after all ..

I took a video of Santa and the group as he was going through his Good or Bad list with us .. actually it became 4 videos!!!   I passed the camera back and forth across the table to Sharon to hold and film when the person he was talking to was on my side of the table and as you will see we did a bit of miscombobulating and there's a bit of sideways and upside down time but thought you might get a chuckle out of it anyway!!!  Click on the links below to check it out ..

We still haven't gotten anyone to admit that THEY were responsible for sending Santa to the party but we know it had to be someone from the "Bunch" because someone had told him little stories about each of the ladies .. LOL!!!  Thank You to whoever it was .. lots of fun .. lots of laughs ..  and we're all really glad to know we are on Santa's GOOD list!!!
