Our first snow of Winter 2016!!
And I didn't even get to watch the snow flakes falling!!!! We woke up last Saturday morning to bright shiny flakes of snow on the ground and deck .. what a beautiful surprise!!!
We even had a little snow on the rooftop of our little red barn!!!
Not only is it the season for snow .. but Tis The Season for Christmas also!!! Ken and I spent that Saturday finishing up preparations for his kids and grandkids to arrive Sunday for our Christmas gathering !!!
Ken has 4 grandchildren .. Nick, Sidney, Lydia and Wyatt .. one day when we were out treasure hunting I found 4 delightful snowman mugs that I thought would be great for Hot Chocolate .. so I snagged them and put them in the Christmas closet to await this Christmas season!! I filled them with a packet of Peppermint Hot Chocolate mix, a Candy Cane and a Chocolate Marshmallow Snowman .. the Chocolate Santa was meant to go in the mug too but alack and alas .. he just would not fit!!! Nick is actually a "grown-up" college age grandchild but hopefully he will enjoy drinking Hot Chocolate out of his snowman glass too .. LOL!!!
The kids started arriving around noon ..
By the time all 3 families were here the countertops and an extra table were FULL of great smelling goodies to gobble!!!
And lots of gifts under the tree too ..
I had set up a play area in the computer room and Sidney helped Wyatt set up the Thomas the Train track and buildings ..
Wyatt's Daddy AJ had a little fun with Thomas too .. LOL!!!

Time for gifts ..
Steve, Lori, Jeremiah and Caleb in Arizona couldn't be with us of course but a box had arrived on our front porch Friday from them with gifts for everybody (Great timing .. LOL!!!) and Mary called him and everybody got to talk to him and wish his family a Merry Christmas!!!
A great time was had by all!! Sad to say this is it for pictures .. Warning Warning to one and all .. next time there WILL be family pictures taken .. can't believe I let that chance slip by .. LOL!!!
Hi Liz and Ken!Yes, I enjoyed the pics larger here ! Where are all the Smiles??? You did a great Job organizing everything ! I so enjoyed the Snowman mugs filled for the Grandchildren. What a Cute Idea !!! ---I forgot to ask what ornament did Ken make this year??? Great pics ! You decorated your home perfectly for Christmas !! As Maddy says, "Good Job" !!

I knew what I would do with the mugs as soon as I saw them at whatever "treasure" store we were at .. Hmmmmm .. just the right amount for Ken's 4 grandchildren!! Thanks for stopping in ..
