CHAPTER TWELVE .. THE INSPECTION REPORT!!

The inspector came out to inspect the house Friday the 29th  .. we were not allowed to be present.  We got the inspector's report from Lori a couple days later.  The report was 13 pages long .. however, out of everything they checked there were only 3 things marked that we needed to take care of.  The flange on the roof around the stack having to do with bathroom exhaust is bent and needs repaired by a professional roofer.  There are some GFCI plugs that they say need repaired .. they want a licensed electrician to check them out and repair whatever needs repaired.  Ken checked them all and they all worked but who knows?  They want a certification from the company who put the grinder for the sewage in that the grinder is in good working order.  The grinder was checked out today and the guy gave us a certificate stating everything he checked and that everything was good.  Cost .. $120.00.  We have asked Lori to recommend an Electician and a Roofer .. I got a message from her today that she has contacted an Electrician and a Roofer and they should both be contacting us .. so far no calls from them.  The house also had to be appraised for the bank that is loaning the buyers the money to buy it .. the Appraiser was here this afternoon .. taking pics and measuring.   He said it would be a couple of days to get his report together but he thought it would appraise at between $230,000 to $250,000.  Kinda makes us wish we had stuck to the $220,000 price tag .. LOL!!! 

I haven't gotten a lot of pictures of the house lately .. rain rain .. they are mostly working on the inside because of the rain so not much is changing on the outside.  Can't get inside to take pics unless we can make it through the muddy back yard.  Have to go by in the evening after the builders leave to be able to go inside the house to see what's been happening and can't get to the back to get in if the mud is tooooo deep!!!

As you can see it's still a mess in there .. maybe even messier .. LOL!!  BUT the dry wall is now on the ceilings!!!  

And they've got the dry wall around the bar area!!

We were able to go in through the garage this day .. 

I have been wanting to find a white wicker set to put on the covered deck and we finally found some at Pier 1 Imports .. and it was 30 % off!!  They had to order the corner table and the coffee table and they came in one day this past week and we picked them up .. right now they are residing on the deck at Raintree!!!  I didn't find any cushions at Pier 1 that I liked so that will come later!!! 

Having found the wicker for the deck makes me even more antsy to get the villa done and get moved in .. LOL!!!  

 We actually stayed home all day Sunday and worked on packing and organizing .. time to start getting ready for our big move!!!  Had planned to stay home all day today also but we had to pick up some medicine at Schnuck's and a battery for one of our smoke detectors so we took a short break .. spruced up a bit and headed for Festus .. of course we drove through Sawyers Ridge while we were there .. lots going on .. I thought I caught a quick picture of the builders but I guess I didn't .. I can see one in yellow pants up by the front door .. they were working on the driveway and walkway to the front door and filling the area in with gravel.  I'm thinking we will very likely have a nice driveway and sidewalk the next time we go through!!! 

Still moving right along .. can't wait .. can't wait!!!
