CHAPTER TWENTY ONE .. EXICITEMENT!!!

The closing on our house AND on the villa will be back to back on Tuesday, the 30th  at 1:30 .. Yayyyyyyy!!! 


There have been a lot of ups and downs and stress  in this adventure of selling our home and having a new home built .. but it is finally beginning to look as if our moving there is actually going to happen and we are excited once again!!!  

We met with Steve from Hopkins Carpet at the house yesterday .. he made a list of cabinet doors that we would like replaced.  His flooring crew was putting down the hardwood in the Great Room.  I thought I took some pics but they don't seem to be on my phone so I guess I must have been dreaming .. LOL!!!  I also noticed that most of the inside doors are up.  AND the air conditioner is not only in but it was running.  Tim had told us they couldn't put the hardwood down until they got the air conditioner in because the temperature / humidity would effect the hardwood flooring.  OH .. and they also got the flange for the stool in the Master Bath moved over .. now there is a hole in the vinyl that will have to be repaired.  And a hole in the floor too of course!!  The water heater and vanity in the basement bath and the toilet stools are still not in but it is beginning to look more hopeful that it will possibly be finished by the 30th!!!  

While we were at Sawyers Ridge we also went into the office and talked to Ashley and Tim .. Tim insists that the house will be ready to move into by the 30th.  He also said that we would be able to move stuff into the basement this weekend.  SO .. we have decided to take him at his word and have scheduled a 14' U Haul for Sunday and have called our kids to come and help if possible to move boxes and small stuff into the basement .. and scheduled Two Men And A Truck to move the furniture July 1st.  So cross your fingers .. say your prayers .. that Tim is right and we WILL be able to do this!!!
